Asmara M. Tekle, J.D., MBA serves as VAM’s COO. Asmara has a versatile and multi-disciplinary leadership background in business, law, academia, and government. Previously, she served as a Chief Administrative Officer in the nation’s fourth largest city and associate dean and tenured professor at Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Asmara graduated cum laude from Harvard College, Cornell Law School, and Texas A&M Mays School of Business, and studied at the Sorbonne in Paris, France. Since her early exposure to the balanced art of self-care in Paris and Japan shortly after college, Asmara has been a lifelong practitioner of holistic wellness grounded in Eastern and Western modalities. She teaches and enjoys power yoga and meditation, walking in nature, and reading non-fiction.
